2026 is the year of finally launching this music project after much delay in 2025. After signing off on the recordings, wham, life hit again.

After being stopped in my tracks for a while, I reflected where is my music and craft going? I’m still the same person and still the same high energy party guy on stage, but with a twist.

The album release generated a pause, what is this really about? I soon discovered the logo and the message did not match who I was becoming or who I even am as a person. With much thought and consideration, and the compelling need to be more transparent in my life, this called for a who new logo and to let the world show who I truly am.

So who is Blacky Bridges? It all started with a kid, a cat, and a road named Bridges. Life has become much more since my childhood days. It has become a necessity to bridge the gap between darkness and light. The last 7 years have been a dark journey for me confronting many thoughts and emotions while living in the dark night of the soul. I have learned much and have discovered more of who I am and who I am not.

From that, I have complied my first EP release, “Dreaming”. Dreaming is woven into the very fiber of our existence. Sometimes life hits us and breaks us down until dreams seem like nothing more than dreams. That is when reality intersects with the utter darkness of a foreign galaxy called life.

My first release from the album, “Dreaming”, is “Give Me a Hope”. For those who don’t know, this song is very special to me as I wrote this when I lost all community, friends, and social connections to preserve over the choice to finally, be me. Release date will be July 31, 2026 as the fully album will be released on October 2, 2026.

Out of this release, I am opting to share with everyone an other piece this excitement, my first published book, “Destined to Find Hope”. Hope for me in this season of life has been hard. The book shares the thoughts and ideologies I have confronted to understand who I was to deconstruct the universe surrounding me. More information will come as I work with the editing and publishing team. This book will definitely evoke some emotions and provoke thoughts to challenge what we think in life is certain, but it is not.
